The Scan2CAD raster to vector trial lets you load your own raster images and convert them to vectors. There is no restriction on the size or number of images you can convert during the trial.
The trial is fully working for 7 days. After 7 days, vector save, PDF load and save, batch conversion, font training and the command line are disabled. However the trial continues to function as free and unrestricted scanning, raster editing, raster cleanup, color reduction and tiling (stitching) software.
The system requirements for the Scan2CAD trial are a Pentium PC running Windows '98, ME, NT, 2000, XP or Vista.

Work through Andrea's Real World Guide to Vectorization, a PDF document written by Softcover's Andrea Tribe.
Andrea has used Scan2CAD to vectorize hundreds of images of different types and quality. The Real World Guide tells you how to handle less than perfect scans and how to tweak vectorization settings. It helps you to get the best possible vectorization from any vectorizable image.
The Real World Guide can be accessed by going to Scan2CAD's Help Menu, then selecting Real World Guide. It is also available in French.
Read the Scan2CAD Hints and Tips. These are supplied with the trial but you can also visit them here. They include useful scanning tips and much more.
