The current version of Scan2CAD is v7.6d. Version 7.6d adds:

  • New benefits for CNC from improved Bezier to arc export.

    Version 7.6d has improved Bezier to arc export. Bezier curves allow you to get a better vector fit on images with curvy shapes. If you are using a CAD or CNC program that doesn't support Bezier curves you can still use Scan2CAD's Bezier option to vectorize your images. Before saving as DXF, select Bezier to arc export and the Beziers will be converted to smoothly flowing arcs that your CAD or CNC program can read.

  • User defined grid.

Boeing buy more Scan2CAD raster to vector conversion software

Following a recommendation from a long-standing Scan2CAD user at Boeing NASA Systems, (Huntington Beach, California), the Boeing Company Shared Services Group has purchased multiple copies of Scan2CAD Pro.

The Boeing Company Shared Services Group provides the company's business units and corporate offices with a range of effective services, like facilities management, to support the design and manufacture of aerospace and defense products.

The Boeing Company is the world's leading aerospace company and the largest manufacturer of commercial jetliners and military aircraft combined. While Scan2CAD is used by Boeing in many locations, the majority of their Scan2CADs are used at the Boeing NASA Systems' Huntington Beach site, an advanced research-and-development unit where people reach for the stars and design the systems to get them there.

Boeing NASA Systems' Huntington Beach site provides design support for Space Shuttle development and improvements. It has the second largest installed user base of Scan2CAD raster to vector conversion software in the USA. They have been using Scan2CAD Pro since the last millennium to convert unusually long technical drawings of wiring installations into DXF files for editing in CATIA. Boeing NASA Systems doubled the number of copies they use when they upgraded from Scan2CAD Pro v6 to v7 four years ago.

We have appointed ZwCAD Polska as the Scan2CAD distributor in Poland.

ZwCAD Polska also distribute PDF2CAD, a vector PDF to CAD converter and ZwCAD, a cost-effective DWG-based 2D and 3D CAD program. ZwCAD opens, edits and saves DWG and DXF files (AutoCAD 2.5 to 2008) without the need for import or export operations.
